Voice Changer: Audio Meme
Last updated: 26 August 2026
Voice Changer processes your audio on your iPhone. Your recordings, the files you import, and their names are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
Apple handles your purchases. We use RevenueCat to check whether your Pro access is active, and TelemetryDeck to understand which parts of the app people use.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not sell personal data.
Recording, importing, applying voice effects, saving and exporting all happen locally on your iPhone. The app has no server that receives audio.
We never transmit:
When you share a creation, iOS's own share sheet sends the file to whichever destination you choose. That transfer is between you and that destination and does not pass through us.
Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details, card number, or Apple Account credentials.
We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and to check whether your Pro access is active. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information — which product was bought, its status, renewals, cancellations and refunds — together with a pseudonymous customer identifier that the app generates for this installation.
That identifier is a random value. It is not your name, your email address, or your Apple Account, and it is not shared with any other service.

We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used, so we can see where people get stuck and improve it.
TelemetryDeck receives a short, fixed list of events: the app was opened, onboarding was finished, the microphone permission was answered, a recording started, audio became ready, an effect was previewed, a creation was saved, the share button was pressed, the upgrade screen was shown, and a purchase or restore began or ended.
Each event carries only a few pre-defined values chosen from a closed list — for example which effect was previewed, whether the audio was recorded or imported, a coarse length band such as "under 15 seconds", and which subscription product a purchase referred to.
The app is built so that it cannot attach free text, file names, paths, or error messages to these events.
TelemetryDeck also receives an anonymous identifier for the app installation and coarse technical information such as the app version, device model and operating system version.
This identifier is not linked to your purchase identifier, to an account, or to you. If you delete and reinstall the app, the previous installation cannot be connected to the new one.

Microphone — used only while you are recording in the app, to capture the audio you then apply effects to. You can withdraw this at any time in iOS Settings; the app still works with imported audio.
Your recordings are stored in the app's own storage on your iPhone. You can delete any recording, or all of them, from within the app at any time. Deleting the app removes them along with it.
Purchase records are retained by Apple and by RevenueCat according to their own policies and legal obligations.
Analytics events are retained by TelemetryDeck according to their policy and our account's configuration. Because those events are anonymous and are not linked to you, we cannot identify which events came from a particular person, and so we cannot retrieve or delete an individual's events on request.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
Voice Changer is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date at the top.
